Will Free Beer Save Democracy in the Czech Republic?

    That probably doesn't seem that odd to Europeans, but to American's that's funny and very strange. :D

    For me it's strange too, but maybe it worked. ;)
    It's first day of election and already 50 % of voters voted.

    So any #'s on what the voter turn out was and how much beer the company had to give away?

    Turnout was similar to preceding elections - about 62 %.

    But results were interesting. Quite a political earthquake. Voters punished big parties and arrogant partisan bosses with their preferential votes.
