    Hello,

I'm writing a Christmas card to my good friend, and I want to write something in Czech (if it's of any relevance, I am a male and my friend is female). Could someone translate the following into Czech please?:

    • "To Silvie,

Wishing my beautiful, adorable friend a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

      With much fondness,
      Jay."
I appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

    Thanks very much!

    Hello,

I tried using Google Translate to translate the phrase into Czech. What it came up with is this:

    • "Chcete-li Silvie,

Přát si mé krásné, roztomilou přítel velmi veselé Vánoce a šťastný nový rok.

      Se hodně záliba,
      Jay."
However, I have no way of knowing if this is grammatically correct. Can someone please help me out and let me know the correct translation? I really appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

    Thanks very much!

    What google "created" is:

    If you wish, Silvia,

to wish my nice, adorable friend very Marry Christmas and Happy New Year.

    With many hobbies,
    Jay"

What you wrote is kind of complicated to translate, because it will either be odd when using 3rd person as you did, or it will be in 2nd person and a little bit different. I prefer second option:

    Má milá, roztomilá Silvie,

přeji ti Veselé Vánoce a vše nejlepší do nového roku.

    S láskou,

    Jay

(=My dear, adorable Silvia, I wish you MC and the best to NY, with love, J)
