Hey all, I am desperate to learn the Czech language as I have a Czech girlfriend for a while now, but unfortunately I cannot communicate very well with her family.. Can someone please tell which book(s) can help me out big time with the whole language pack?? I want to know the words, grammar everything! Thanks!! P.s. I don't have tape-players
Hello! I put some pictures of the most common textbooks on FB - with comments: www.facebook.com/czech.in.prague. You might also find this helpful to start learning Czech.
I'm glad you like it I'd be grateful for any feedback or suggestions -just take a few minutes to fill in a survey, please! (Or send me an e-mail.)
I agree with with Scrimshaw. What a wonderful resource for learning Czech. Am not learning at the moment but I am sure it would have been very useful. I've bookmarked the site, just in case I start again.
Hi Jano, I took that survey on your 'Start learning czech' web site. That is a very useful link. You did a great job. Professionally done and easy to navigate. Good luck with it.
I found "Coloquial Czech" by James Naughton to be fantastic without a teacher, and "Czech Step by Step" fantastic with a teacher (though some people have used it successfully without a teacher). List of free resources here: https://sites.google.com/site/czechdirectory/
