I'm new to this site

Postby jtdirect » 24-Apr-12 13:24

Hello, I am new to this site. I am doing my family tree and learned that both sides of my family have Czech in them. That makes me quite a bit Czech. I have traced them as far as 2nd great grandparents , but the rest apparently lived and died in Czech. I would love to know any information on tracking these people down and possibly finding distant relatives that may still live there. Anyone know any good sites or places I can look for such thing?

Try to get through some of topics here:

This was discussed many times before.

One thing, avoid using the word "Czech" when meaning the whole country. It only can be used as adjective or nationality. Use Czechia or Czech Republic instead.
