Prague hit by flood

For those of you who are planning a trip to Prague, I recommend to check out the hotel you booked and the way to get there. As many buildings and streets, especially in the Old Town of Prague, have been severly damaged by the flood, it will take months until everything is back to normal. As far as I know, the subway trains (Metro) will not be repaired before the beginning of winter. I have only seen pictures, but having experienced the flood here in Germany, it is probable that train and bus connections are interrupted. Many other towns, especially those in the North near the Labe river, have been damaged, too.
