since May 1st 2004. the Czech rep. joined the EU, along with 9 other nations, mostly in Central & Eastern Europe. what has changed since then? has there been an increase in people from western europe travelling there for holidays, what about czechs travelling into western europe? does anyone know the legal aspects of how things have changed now that the czech rep. is part of the EU? does this mean any EU citizen can freely live & work in the czech rep. now?

also in the uk, we have TV programmes catered to travelling to other countries in the EU & and making a new life etc. because it's common for Britons to buy cheap property in Northern France, and commute into London via the channel tunnel, and also many Britons buying property in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, and various rural/small town areas of France. many of these people are like property traders. So i was wondering is there many western europeans in the Czech Rep. doing the same thing?
