From Sydney Morning Herald: Australia's entertainment industry was in mourning today for former Crowded House drummer Paul Hester who hanged himself in a Melbourne park. The 46-year-old father-of-two was found dead at Elsternwick Park in Brighton on Saturday afternoon, after last being seen walking his two dogs on Friday evening. Neil Finn, who formed Crowded House with Hester after they played together in Split Enz, today spoke of his grief at losing one of his best friends. That is sad news. I was into Split Enz in college. I was also a fan of Crowded House and they put on a great concert many years ago at the Greek Theater in Berkeley.
Its all over the news down here, very unexpected. I'm afraid I never really listened to much of their music, but I know my parents and family did, thats mainly due to the fact that the lead singers are actually New Zealanders (where my family comes from). Jason
