Adjectives/verbs ending in -o

What does an -o ending mean? For example:
dlouhý/dlouho
malý/malo
stal/stalo
mohl/mohlo

First two are adjective/adverb
Last two are masculine/neuter past tense
Morituri nomulus mori. - Rincewind the wizzard
Come shall ten well bloat ? Ten well bloat shell when blaight !
