What does "pa pa" mean? Translation please

Postby Raphael » 09-Jun-05 1:23

Hi to everybody,

could somebody translate me please the following:

"Tilim se na odpovid, pa pa ...(name)"

In this case it was the final greeting (I guess) in an email.

Thanks a lot in advance!

"Pá pá" means bye bye (child´s talk or colloquial friendly greeting, often jocular).

I'm guessing the rest said "Těším se na odpověd," which means "I look forward to your reply."

Thanks a lot for the answers!!! The most important was the meaning of "pa pa". Since colloquial sayings and words are hardly to be find in a dictionnary, I am really thankful to have this board. Thank you once again!!
