Hi... I am learning to speak Czech, well trying really. I would appreciate any help or assistance that anyone can give to me in starting out learning this language.

My father's side of my family is from there, and my grandma used to speak to me in Czech when I was little... however, I've since forgotten pretty much everything.

Again, any help will be appreciated. Thank you...

It depends on your favorite style of learning. At the beginning I learn best on my own, making alot of use of really good tapes with accompanying good instruction books that have exercises. I went to Amazon and checked out the user reviews there for various Czech instructional courses. Once you get some of the beginning stuff under your belt you may need to pay someone to actually get practice speaking with real live people, unless you are planning on moving to the Czech Republic or have family or friends who will speak Czech with you for free. Good luck!
