How
do I search for hotels by price?
Fill out the search box and click "Search". Once you get the results of your
search, you will see a "Sort by:" drop-down menu (selection box) on the top
of the search results page, which will enable you to sort the listing
of hotels by name, stars, distance, popularity, price or guest review score.
How
do I find hotels that are available in the period I want
to stay?
In the search form on the left,
please select the "Show
only available hotels" option below the check-in and check-out dates.
How
do I search for hotels with specific facilities, such as
a swimming pool?
In the search form on the left, simply click on the link "Show
advanced options". Now you can refine your search by selecting different
facilities, such as "Indoor/Outdoor Swimming Pool" or "Internet
Services".
How do I search for hotels that offer
family rooms?
In the search form on the left, simply click
on the link "Show advanced options". Now you can
refine your search by selecting different facilities, such
as "Family Rooms". Note that these
rooms will not necessarily be available on your requested
dates.
Where
can I find contact details of the hotel?
You can find the address on the hotel page. More details including a phone
number will be provided in the confirmation email that you will receive after
you have made the reservation.
Where
can I find directions to the hotel?
At the bottom of the overview page of the hotel you can find travel information
with details on location and directions. On the top left there is an extensive
map of the area around the hotel.

TYPES
What's
the difference between a double room and a twin room?
A double room has one double bed. A twin room has two single beds.
We
have two small children, can we get extra beds in the room?
This possibility
depends on the hotel's policy and availability. In general, one extra bed
for one child is available at a minor additional charge. We advise you to check
the "Child policy" section on the hotel's "How to Book" page.
Can I request an extra bed
for a third person in a double room and at what cost?
It
will depend on the hotel's policy and availability. Once
you have retrieved the availability for a specific hotel
for the requested dates, please click on the room
name to access the room description. Information regarding
a third adult person may also be provided in the "Child
policy" section
on the hotel's "How to Book" page.
I cannot see a particular room type
offered on the hotel page. Can you help?
All the information you see on
the pages
of a particular hotel is supplied by the hotel itself. We
at My Czech Republic do not have any additional information available.
In order to find out if a hotel has your desired room type
available, you may enter your question in
the "Comments/Questions" field
when going through the booking process.

Are
the rates on your website per person or per room?
All rates on our website are per room per night, unless stated otherwise.
Do
I pay a reservation fee?
No, we will not charge you a reservation fee.
Is
breakfast included in the price?
Once you have retrieved the availability for a specific hotel for the requested
dates, please click on the room name to find information about
breakfast, taxes and room facilities.

A hotel I like
is showing a special offer on your website. Can you guarantee
that I will indeed be charged this price if I make a booking?
All
information, pricing, special offers, etc. are supplied by
the hotels themselves
and can only be guaranteed and confirmed by the hotels. After
you submit your booking request, you will
receive a confirmation email from our booking partner
in which the price of your booked stay will be specified.
In the unlikely event of any discrepancies, you will be
able to contact our booking partner or the hotel directly
based on the contact information provided in the confirmation
email.
Do you offer special discounts (for
seniors, airlines employees, etc.)?
We provide the
best available rates for the dates of your stay. Discounts
are already included and therefore it is not possible to
have any other discount on the confirmed price.
Can I use discount vouchers (e.g. issued
by magazines, shops, etc.)?
Not when booking through our website. You would have to book
through the organization issuing the voucher.
Why are the
room prices shown on your website lower than those I have
seen on other websites or on the hotel’s own site?
Our
hotel booking database is a self-service booking system,
which, along with the high volume of reservations made,
allows us to offer very competitive pricing.

CARDS AND PAYMENTS
Why
are my credit card details needed?
In general, your credit card details are only required as a guarantee for the
hotel in case you don't arrive or cancel too late. This might result in a "no-show" charge
(generally the equivalent of a one-night stay) by the hotel. We at My Czech
Republic do not have access to your credit card details and will not charge
your credit card. Our booking partner will not charge your card either. You
will pay for your stay at the hotel.
Does the hotel need a deposit or a
payment in advance?
You will pay for your stay at the hotel.
If the hotel requires a deposit, it will be clearly mentioned
on the hotel's information pages. Please note that some
hotels perform a pre-authorization check on your credit card
as an extra guarantee. A pre-authorization is a validity
check to reserve a certain amount that would guarantee the
room. This amount may correspond to the price of one night
or to the total cost of your reservation. Once the credit
card has been validated, the reserved amount will be released.
What types
of credit cards can I use to guarantee the reservation?
MasterCard, Visa and American
Express are accepted as a guarantee. However, it is possible
that the hotel does not accept all of these cards for payment.
Some hotels also accept Diners Club, JCB
and other local cards. Please check the "Accepted credit cards" section on
the hotel's "How to Book" page.
How do I pay
the hotel bill?
You pay the room bill in cash or by credit card at the hotel.
Can I pay for my stay in advance?
Such arrangements depend on each hotel's policy.
Therefore, you will need to contact the hotel directly. The
hotel's contact details can be found in the confirmation
email you will receive after you make your reservation.
Can I pay for my stay at the hotel
with a different credit card than the one used to guarantee
the reservation?
Yes. Your credit card details are only needed
for guarantee purposes. You can pay at the hotel using the
payment method of your choice.
My credit card has been charged. How
can I get a refund?
Neither My Czech Republic, nor our booking partner ever
charges our guests' credit cards. The charge has been performed
by the hotel. Therefore, you will need to contact the hotel
directly. The hotel's contact information can be found in
your reservation confirmation email.
I
do not have a credit card. Can I still book a room?
Unfortunately all hotels require a credit card to guarantee a reservation.
We are not able to process any reservation without a credit card.
Is
it safe to fill in my credit card number? How secure is
your website?
Your credit card information is sent to the hotel and our booking partner through
a secure server, using the latest, most secure technology available, which
encrypts all your personal and credit card details. The encryption method used
is the industry standard "Secure
Socket Layer" (SSL) technology. The SSL certificate has been issued by
Thawte.
Our booking partner also uses a firewall which protects their servers and network
against unauthorized access. In the unlikely event that your credit card were
to be misused, our partner will reimburse you the first 50 euros
of the cost. Your credit card company is obliged to pay the remainder.

Can you check availability and make a reservation
for me?
Our online hotel booking system is self-service,
which allows us to offer discounted rates. The easy-to-use interface
makes it possible for you to search for hotels, check real-time
availability and pricing, and make a booking yourself. Please
use the search
form to find a suitable hotel for your stay. Your booking
will be made directly between you and the hotel.
How do I know
if my booking is confirmed?
When you have completed the four steps of the reservation
process, an instant on-screen confirmation will appear.
It will show your reservation details as well as your booking
number. We advise you to print it out. Within a couple
of minutes, you will receive a confirmation email containing
more information such as the hotel's contact details.
Can
I book a hotel room by telephone or email?
Unfortunately, we do not take bookings by telephone or email.
I
have booked a hotel but I did not receive a confirmation
by email. What do I have to do?
When you make a booking, please check your email address. A confirmation email
should arrive within a couple of minutes of your booking. The most common reason
for not getting a confirmation email is typing your email address incorrectly.
Therefore, please double check your email address and make sure your mailbox
is not full before finalizing your reservation. Also, in some cases (e.g. if
your spam filter settings are too strict) the confirmation email may end up
in your "Spam" folder. If you do not receive an email after
you have made a booking, please send a message with your
booking number and details by using our contact form.
How
many rooms can I book in one reservation?
A maximum of 10 rooms (if available) can be booked in any one reservation.

What
are the check-in and check-out times of a hotel?
The check-in and check-out times differ. You will find them on the "How to
Book" page of the hotel. If you are going to arrive late or very early, we
advise you to let the hotel know in advance using the Comments/Questions field
in the reservation form (in English or the language of the hotel if possible),
or inform the hotel directly using the contact details you
will find in your confirmation email.
How
can I request an early/late check-in or late check-out
time?
We advise you to contact the hotel. You will find the contact
details of the hotel in your confirmation email.
How do I know if the hotel has parking
facilities?
You will find details
about parking facilities at or near the hotel on the hotel's
"Overview" page. If this information is not specified,
please ask the hotel directly using the Comments/Questions
field in the reservation form.
How
do I know if the hotel offers a shuttle service and how
can I book it?
Please check the section "Hotel Facilities
- Services" to see if the hotel offers shuttle service.
If so, please contact the hotel directly in order to arrange
it, once your reservation has been confirmed. You will find
the hotel's contact details in the confirmation email.
How
do I find out if a hotel allows pets?
In the search form on the left, simply click on the link "Show advanced
options". Now you can refine your search by selecting different facilities,
such as "Pets Allowed". Information regarding the hotel's pet policy is
also often provided on the hotel's "Overview" page.
How
do I find out if a hotel has a certain facility, e.g. a
lift?
Please check the "Hotel Facilities" section on the hotel's "Overview" page.
I cannot see
a certain facility listed on the hotel's pages on your
website. Can you let me know if this facility is available?
All facilities offered by the hotel should be listed
in the "Hotel Facilities" section on the "Overview" page
of the particular hotel. We unfortunately
do not have any additional information available.
What
do I do when I have a question about the room or hotel?
We advise you to enter your question in the Remarks/Questions field on the
hotel reservation form (in English or the language of the hotel if possible).
You can also contact the hotel using the contact details provided
in the reservation confirmation email.

• CANCELLATION
How
can I cancel or change my booking?
You
can cancel your reservation or send a request for a modification of an existing
reservation by clicking on the link at the bottom of your confirmation email.
To change your booking, first cancel the existing reservation via
the link provided in your confirmation email and then you may make a new booking
on our website.
What is the
cancellation policy for a hotel?
Cancellation policies differ per hotel. Should you need to cancel a reservation,
please cancel in time as failure to do so may result in a no-show charge. You
will find the cancellation policy of a specific hotel on the hotel's "How
to Book"
page.
Do
I pay a cancellation fee?
My Czech Republic or our booking partner will never charge you a cancellation
fee. In order to avoid a cancellation fee from the
hotel, please make sure you cancel on time according to the
cancellation policy of the hotel. You will find the hotel's
cancellation policy on the "How to Book"
page of the hotel.
How
do I know that my booking has been cancelled?
After you have cancelled a booking, you will receive an email to confirm your
cancellation.
If you do not receive the cancellation
email, please send a message with your
booking number and details to our booking partner. Our partner's contact
information is provided in the confirmation email you received after you made
your reservation.
