Mexican Restaurants in Prague
Authentic Mexican flavors |
|
OK, this is a strong
statement, but Banditos near the I. P. Pavlova metro is where
we've had some of the most authentic American-style Mexican food
we
have
found
in Prague
so far. This
especially goes for the enchilada plate complete with real refried
beans and Mexican rice. The strange thing is that the same enchilada
plate can be nothing but average the next time. Despite this
inconsistency, we recommend Banditos as a good and
cheap option for Mexican. The menu also offers burgers, sandwiches,
steak,
pasta, salads, and
brunch. There's a small non-smoking section in the back.

A fun place with OK food
This Malá Strana
restaurant has been around for years and is very popular. It
is almost always busy and virtually impossible to get a table
at after 7 p.m. if you don't have a reservation. The atmosphere
is nice and cozy, the background music (in Spanish) pleasant.
The service varies from person to person. We have found the
food to range from great to so-so, depending on what you order.
The slightly spicy Aztec bean soup is delicious and worth a special
trip and the fajitas are very good, too. The chicken enchiladas
are salty and can be mushy and the nachos con queso translate
into a pile of dry tortilla chips covered with a gooey lid of
melted cheese. Overall, worth a visit. Make a reservation!
