    Hello,

I am new to the site and am planning a trip to CR in September. I have most of my hotels booked but need help with Olomouc. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel?

It depends what you're looking for but I've stayed at Hotel Flora a couple of times, and it's a good, large modern hotel.

Ideally we would like something with Old World charm and elegance as opposed to being a modern/business hotel but would also like modern amenities like a marble bath rooms, etc.

Yes. I have found Trip Advisor to be very helpful in the past. Will check out the Hotel Alley. It was on my list. I just hoped I would find someone who had stayed in one of the hotels.

I'm not sure you'll get a marble bathroom, brodine. And if you do, it'll be in a much more expensive hotel than I can afford!

I have used 2 hotels in Olomouc before.

On hockey tours we have used the Hesperia, which is on the outskirts of the south of the city. It is a modern hotel but does not have much character. It is ideal for large groups, as they have lots of rooms!!

Individually, I much preferred the Hotel Arigone, which is situated in a little winding street near the university. The hotel is charming, well-appointed, comfortable and has a very nice restaurant. I think it would fit your description of what you are looking for and I would recommend it, based on my last stay a couple of years ago.

Thanks to all of you for responding. As it turns out, our car rental in Olomouc is actually at the Hotel Alley so we decided to make it easy on ourselves and stay there.
