This proves my view that most journalists are not very nice people (I am deliberately not putting it more strongly so as not to offend!) and don't care who they hurt in the race to sell newspapers.

I used to work for a senior UK politician and my maxim was "90% of what I read in the papers that I know about isn't true, therefore I presume that 90% of what I don't know about isn't true either." Rather clumsy English but I hope you can tell what I mean.
