If you've lived in Scotland all your life there is no reason not to believe that your money will be good at exchange bureaux in other countries. Are you calling all Scottish people eccentric?

Try calling any Scots you meet in Prague (and there are many) eccentric and you might get a Glasgow kiss

    :p

people must know that scottish and northern irish pounds are hardly accepted in england let alone overseas.

my best advice it to use a debit card(preferably the nationwide building society one) as they have the best rates and zero percent commission charges.

i know i did a comparison between that and the alliance and leicester one when i went to portugal earlier this year and the alliance one was a lot more expensive, so watch your bank charges, but its still better than exchange rate shops :)
