Ahoj! I have a new baby niece& nephew and i want to start off speaking a lil' Czech to them, does anyone have a short song that is usually sang to children to calm them down? Any lyrics and tunes would be greatfully appreciated!

Unfortunately, my keybord doesn't have accents so I hope that your Czech is good enough for you to figure how to pronounce it. I know that you have asked for {probably} lulaby and there is few very well known. However you really need tune and not just a lyric. I have to know if you speak Czech yourself. Then we can search Czech internet for some websites. If you don't speak Czech well, you would be better of to find CD or tape to play for them.

Thank you, i can speak a little czech and pronounce most of it. But i'm not sure how to sing it since there is no music to it. I think i could make a tune up instead though. But thank you Magan!
I hope you get to visit Prague and purchase a CD recording. I am sure you should be able to find there one or maybe buy a CD online. By the way, it is pretty easy to get your k/board to enter hačeks, čarkas etc by choosing a short-cut key combination (conveniently Ctr + something) to select symbols. I've got word set up so I can write both czech and french straight off with my own codes and can then move whole texts into other apps. Alternatively for just a few characters, prepare a word file with a list of the czech characters and copy them into other applications. Putting czech into machine translators shows there's a long way to go.
