Hi can someone please help me to understand the meaning of the word "zlaticko" .
If you say "Zlaticko moje" to someone, does it mean they are lovers?
I mean do you use this word only between lovers or can you use it between friends too?
    I appriciate the help.

that means "darling", or "sweetheart", or "sweetie"
my parents called me that, so it's not just for lovers. Anyone "sweet" you like a lot

Exact translation is 'my little gold'. It is used to address somebody to whom you have very positive and close relationship or to address somebody young (small). It is usual between lovers, parents could call so their children (even adult children), teacher (babysitter, ...) could call so children, somebody calls so animal pet and PC maniac (like wer :D) could call so his PC. It's a little paternalistic, it is impudent (cavalier, dismissive) to call so somebody older or somehow superordinate.
Between friends it is'nt usual unless in ironic speech.

Thanks for the help. So between best friends (a guy and a girl) its not normal to use this word unless ironic meant?
