Ahoj, Im interested in Slav culture, I know that Slavs are divided into three major subgroups: East Slavs, West Slavs, and South Slavs, each with a different and a diverse background based on unique history, religion and culture of particular Slavic group within them. But I'm interested in caracter, personality... You Czechs, how do you define your identity among other West Slavs like Moravians, Slovaks, Poles..?

I'm not sure that you can classify character and personality in these terms, as they are typically applied to linguistic subdivisions of the Slavic family (the Czech language falls into the Western Slavic language category). Perhaps culture to some extent can be so classified, but I don't think it's appropriate to generalize or categorize character and personality in such terms.

I agree with you, classify character and personality isn't appropriate. May be I've chosen incorrect words. (my english it's not very good) But believe me, I've travelled by Italy, for example, and I've seen lots of diferences in caracter between north italians and south italians, in my own country this is even more evident. It's true, that this topic is sometimes absurd for some people, I know, but it's just a sociological topic. People like to find differences, between "we" and "the others" and is this, your own vision about your selves, that is interesting for me.

    Thank you.
