I need ideas of activities for mature couple visiting Prague in May. This is first time visit and money is no object (really!). As I always have limits, I will leave it up to your wild imagination to come up with some ideas of activities. This includes hotel, meals, ways to do outings, entertainment. Be specific please.
Hi Magan, What about a hot air balloon flight over Prague or another area in the Czech Republic? In the fall, I saw a hot air balloon flying above our apartment building near Prague 2. Magan, I am leaving in 7 days to go for the first time. I will say, however, that I am thrilled already with our hotel. I won the trip, so the hotel was chosen for us. As it turns out I'm told it's one of the best in Prague. It's the Hotel Palace Praha. I've had contact with the staff via e-mail and they have been more than accomodating. We will get a package that includes flowers, champagne, dinners, a sightseeing tour. I just can't wait.
If money were no object i would be sure to include a superb meal in a very exclusive and expensive restaurant for Dana and Jeff to thank them for hosting this excellent site. Unfortunately..........no money!

if money was no object then maybe i would pay all tourists to go on a boat trip far down the vltava that day so you could wonder around the streets and bridges without being crushed heehee
Wow, such a coincidence, my school is in the same street The hotel is really one of the best I think, at least I reckon that from what I see in the windiws of the hotel. I'm sure you'll like it, nice hotel, near to the metro and tram stop and very close to the Wenceslas Square.
wow, if money were no object I would buy a place in Prague so that I could visit all the time. :mrgreen: Or maybe somewhere in the lovely countryside.... Okay, back down to earth.... Regarding activities, I would do anything nature related in the Czech Republic. I know there are bicycle tours you can take as well as hiking tours, where you stop, eat and/or stay in different villages along the way. I'm not sure who runs these - I've only looked into to doing the hiking tours in Scotland and Ireland - but it sounds absolutely lovely. I've been to many cities and I find them exciting and stimulating, but I really feel like this kind of tour can offer a more laid-back and relaxed way of seeing and experiencing a place. But that's just me. I would also visit as many wine festivals in Southern Moravia as I could! I really enjoyed these (can you tell?).
