    Hi all,

Has anyone heard of or used this service: http://www.prague-airport-shuttle.com/index.htm?

They seem well recommended, and a positive alternative to the terrifying things I have heard about getting a taxi in Prague! Plus I can book them online in advance, something I definately prefer!

My flights in June both arrive and leave Prague in the late evening, so a quick, safe journey to the hotel would be wonderful!

    Comments?

    Thanks!

    Hi

I have never had a problem with the taxi drivers at the airport and have always found them polite and helpful. When you are getting a taxi back, your hotel will always help you book or if all else fails you can always hail a cab from Wenceslass Square without a problem. Give yourself an hour although it shouldn't take more than 40 minutes.

The only thing is to ask for a quote before you get in it really shouldn't be any more than 700Kc from the airport to the centre. I don't think you really need to book online.

    Hi,

We have used their services several times to meet our clients at the airport and it has always gone well. We have had problems with airport taxis in the past, once by trying to charge the client EUR 60.00 and also for dropping them off at the wrong hotel.

I would no just get into any taxi on Wencelas square! Look for the AAA stands.

Have a nice time in Prague!

The shuttle service seems way too expensive to me. No taxi can ask this much, even the worst of them would be ashamed to ask this much.

    Hi!

I guess I must be throwing my firms' money away!

They do wait for our clients at the airport with their name on a sign, they tell them about the city and they are all English speakers. We had some clients coming in from Manchester on the 1955 flight which was delayed until 0300 (!) and they actually went and picked them up. If the airport taxis are honest the fare is CZK 750 to the Corinthia Towers, the hotel taxis are more expensive too.

Perhaps you can suggest another company, I always like to save money!!

    Ahoj:)

Whenever I come to Prague, I always calls ProfiTaxi as soon as I come out of the airport, within 10 mins they come to pick me up and I've never paid more than 450,-Kc from the airport to Prague 2, just under Vysehrad where the Corinthia Towers is, actually once I paid 380,-Kc! The last time I was there was in August last year, I'm sure it couldn't have gone up so much in such a short time. The ProfiTaxi drivers have always been courteous and have spoken English too. Hope this helps.

I always took public transportation (tram and bus) when I had to get to the airport in Prauge.

Hi, I am in Praha right now. Not good eyperience with airport taxis and would stronglz recommend to take public transport. In the airport there is public transit ticket machine. Buy tickets, ÿou need 12 Kc per person one waz to get to your destination. In front of the airport there is bus which will take you to METRO DEJVICKA which is end stop of subway train line A. If you know where you are going I can tell you exactly how to get there. BUT map of the metro transportation is there, so you can check before you get on the train. Ÿour ticket is still valid till you get to your hotel.

If all falls, there is honest taxi service I use when I have to. Ÿou can call them at 800=118=294 and they will come to pick you up. They will tell you on the phone how much it will cost approximately. I used them within the city and always going to airport and found they did not take advantage of me.
Good luck, have a good time in Praha.

I've used Cedaz several times, 360 CzK for up to 4 people and 720 CzK for 5-8 people.

I believe they'll also drop you at Namesti Republicky for 90 CzK per person.

Don't be so sure about your transport pass not being checked. I've had a revisor (ticket inspector) ask to see my pass on the tram, and a friend was fined on the spot for being without a ticket.
