Could someone please give me a translation of the Czech word ... krásně Could someone please tell me if there is a Czech word for the English word "cool" and I do not mean the "cool weather" variety? Thanks in advance for answering one or both questions.
Fine, beatifully If you meant you wanna talk to a person, I mean the word " sympaticky(a) is good for it !
krásně = beautifully, splendidly, gorgeously We have two threads about cool: http://www.myczechrepublic.com/boards/v ... php?t=5414 http://www.myczechrepublic.com/boards/v ... php?t=5415
:? A big thank you to doman and wer for their help. I did look at the two earlier links for cool but in my opinion those did not meet my standard of a Czech word for cool. Perhaps doman is right with his czech word for cool. If anyone else has an opinon I would be thankful. I am just starting to look at the Czech language so everything is different for me. :?
Take it easy, and you will be fine with Czech language, exept in case you wanted to be a Czech liguist or a writer in Czech
There is no simple way to translate cool to Czech, because there is no one-word equivalent. You have to translate it by context, which is discussed in mentioned topics.
