Hi, I am going to Prague at the end of August. I would like to stay in the center/downtown area. Can you please recommend a good hotel around 100 - 120 Euro per night? I am looking at the Seven Days Hotel or Hotel Tyl. Any recommendations? Thanks much!
If you are going to be there for at least a week, you might want to consider renting an apartment for about the same price or maybe even less. If you send an email to: prague_piedaterre@yahoo.co.uk you may find just what you are looking for. While there is no maid service, you will have a kitchen and probably a washer, both of which can save you lots of money! This is the email address of a very nice American who speaks Czech and who represents several apartments in Prague. Unlike with a hotel rental, there will be no surprise charges or price increases. You want to be in Old Town or in Nove Mesto near Wenceslas Square or in the Little Quarter. Have fun!
