Hi everyone! I’m going to the Czech Republic this november, and I have some questions for you... (I’m posting them in different messages, I’ve read the posting guidelines ) I will spend a week here, and then I’m planning to go another week to Holland. Which is the better (or cheapest) way of going from Prague to Amsterdam? I’ve read here that Smart Wings operated a flight between Prague and Amsterdam, but I’ve checked their web page and it seems that that flight is not running anymore... I think there are some trains and buses that will be a good option for me, but by the moment I haven’t been able to find this information Can anybody help me with this one? Thanks a lot!
bus: eurolines manage a line between CZ and Nederlands, here's the timetable http://www.bei.cz/jizdnirady/pdf/english/B300.pdf train Program your journey with the german railway site, it's very useful try here http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query. ... col=http:& or here (in italian) http://www.dbitalia.it/db_italien/view/index.shtml I hope this will help you
Thanks a lot, Vturchi! Of course your information is going to help me a lot. Both options are good and they are quite the thing I was looking for. The only problem (well, it's not a problem really, only a lack of information) is that they don't say the price, neither for the bus nor for the train. But knowing that there are these options, perhaps I should ask for the prices directly when I'm in Prague. Thanks!
Hi! for the buses you can find fares here: http://www.bei.cz/ (available also in english version) choose on the right side departure/arrive place and data and you'll get the prices, I've tried and it works. For the trains usually the german railway site gives the prices, but actually I just tried and they're not available for praha-amsterdam. Have you tried sending an e-mail to czech railways? http://www.cd.cz/static/eng/ maybe in this way you can obtain the prices in advance vale
I've actually visited the Eurolines page and it works, certainly. I've checked the prices and it's quite what I was looking for. They don't sell tickets for November yet, but as I don't know exactly when I'm travelling, that doesn't matter by now. Thanks a lot!
Yes, SmartWings doesn't operate between Prague and Amsterdam any more. But SkyEurope YES!!! http://www1.skyeurope.com/en/
Yvan, that's a great information! I've just checked their page and I've found lots of flights in november for 36 euros for 2 people (taxes included). I think my options are getting better (2 hours and 40 minutes to Amsterdam, or 14 hours on a bus? The decision is quite clear...) Thanks everybody!
