I can imagine how it must look like in England - I was there during World Cup in Germany (btw, how do you create abv. from World Cup?). We are fans of footbal here, but that is nothing comparing to Enland - you can see flags everywhere (fences, cars, houses, windows) there. We just support "inside".
I doubt it somehow. What you have to remember is that in the UK we presume the English team, in whatever sport, is going to lose - because we usually do. So no-one has any great enthusiasm unless, by some freak circumstance, we get through to the later stages of whatever competition it is. Then we can't believe that it's actually happening and we go over the top with the flags! You will probably find a lot of flags in England at the moment because we're through to the final of the rugby, against South Africa on Saturday. Watch it on tv to see all the supporters with their red and white painted faces! I have to say I will be amazed if we beat SA...
It was kind of odd for me - about 99% flags I have seen in London was English, 1% UK (just along The Mall, maybe around Tower of L.). I am collecting pins, and at the airport, on my way home, I realised I have a lot of pins from places I visited in London, but none "national flag". So I decided to buy pin with flag of England , not UK as I planned.

In Britain, they use W.C., of course. The Brits are such football (soccer) fans, that they write this abbreviation on doors everywhere.
I used to write WC too .... next time, I will write "MS" LM is champions league ME is Euro ... Oh LM match will start soon !

In America we would abrreviate that to W.C. also, but don't forget W.C.(water closet) is not reecognized as a word for 'rest room'. Most Americans would probably not know what a water closet is. I didn't, until I travelled to Europe.
Slavia's supporters at the match never stopped singing and making a lot of noise for their team that even Arsenal's supporters were applauding them. Very impressed. Yes, It might be different in the return match at Strahov. Arsenal may only play their second team! :wink:

Is there any residents, or fans, who could buy three tickets and sell them to me for a decent price? I would be willing to pay double since I remember tickets are not too expensive there.
