What are all the common languages used in Czech. What are the 2nd & 3rd most common languages used other than czech in Brno.?
1st - Slovak 2nd - hard to say - german, english, romani, polish in some small areas close to borders, vietnamese (by stall-keepers ;-)), russian (Karlovy Vary)... Most czechs are able to speak at least a little russian (middle generation 30-60) or german (older generation 60-70+) or english (young people 15-30), other languages (french, spanish, italian) are much less spread. And Hantec in Brno.
That's interesting, Doman. Did you not know that there are many Vietnamese shops and markets here? (They are excellent, by the way. My local potraviny is owned by a lovely Vietnamese family; the children help me with my Czech and I help them with their English!) I presumed your interest in the country was because you perhaps knew some of your countrymen here. If not, how come you started learning Czech?
Ahoj Gina ! I know that there are a lot Vietnamese in Czech, but I cannot imagine that Vietnamese language was counted as 2.most common language in Czechia as DjAvatar had claimed, so I should make a joke about it. Hehe, I started learning Czech in a very long time ago, and I don't want my Czech language being forgotten. So, I am here. Btw, those days in Cz were the most beautiful time in my life. Nazda moje mila Katko ! I've been in an area-called midle of nowhere for a long while, where has no internet or I have go on feet about 15km if I wanna connect...I am too lazy to do it after a hard-work days, it caused why I disapeard... Whoops What I ment is that 1st language AFTER CZECH is slovak and second AFTER CZECH (third - after czech and slovak) is not only one, but there is more languages spoken - vietnamese is one of them.

Well, I bet, that third could be Polish - in areas at northern border is Polish pretty common. / I mean language which is used in daily life, of course, not knowledge of English etc for example/
It is what I wrote in my first post - Polish is 3rd in areas close to borders, Russian is 3rd (2nd maybe) in Karlovy Vary, German close to German and Austrian borders, ... But in general, say in Prague, there is no dominant 3rd language.
