I have been to Prague male: Byl jsem v Praze. female: Byla jsem v Praze. I went to Prague male: Jel jsem do Prahy. female: Jela jsem do Prahy. - this is little more complicated - "went" - Šel means in Czech literally "walk", so we are using Jel (which is connected with some kind of transport) or Letěl (by airplane). I visited Prague male: Navštívil jsem Prahu. female: Navštívila jsem Prahu.
a good example of why Czech is difficult for native English speakers - three sentences, three different "Prague"s
Praha (Praha je krásné město.) Prahy (Návštěva ČR není kompletní bez návštěvy Prahy.) Praze (Vyrazili jsme směrem k Praze.) Prahu (V dálce vidím Prahu.) Praho! (Praho, ty naše město stověžaté!) Praze (Celý den jsme chodili po Praze.) Prahou (Celý den jsme se procházeli Prahou.) (pattern "žena")
