I just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi to everyone. My daughter is moving to Prague in 2 weeks to take a job teaching English and I will be visiting her in November. My grandmother was born in Trebon and I will be visiting where she was raised and I am so excited to be making this trip and excited for my daughter to have the experience of living in a beautiful city. My daughter took a course in Greece to teach English overseas and she got offered 2 positions in Prague either teaching young children or business people, she choose the 5-6 year olds, which should be a lot of fun for her. I have always talked about my grandparents being from Czechoslovakia (my grandmother was from Czech and my grandfather from Slovakia) so she was really interested in visiting the country. I have always wanted to see where they came from so I think I also encouraged her a little -- maybe alot. Now all I need to do is find where in Slovakia my grandfather is from. He passed years ago and didn't speak English too well so I am having a difficult time with this project. My last name is Lidik and I understand the town he was from has paintings and such donated by the "Lidik" family and I am really interested in my roots. This is going to be quite a treasure hunt.
