Hi everyone! I'll start working in IBM, Brno a few weeks from now. I come in the east asia region and this is my first time to be in a European region. I am hoping that my stay in Brno will be memorable.
Hi again to everyone in this forum. I'm Mark. I'm 24 yrs. old and I feel a little bit tensed :? since it's gonna be my first time in Europe. Hopefully I can find someone here in the forum whom I can chat about the culture, environment and people of Czech Republic. I also feel excited because I have read in this forum that Czech Republic is really a nice place. By the way, I'll be working and staying in Brno and I also hope to chat with forumers who live in Brno.
Hi and welcome! I'm sure you will get responses from people about Brno soon. In the meantime, you might want to search the forum for threads on the city.
Ahoj! Thanks to all who responded and sent PM. I also would like to know how long is the travel from Brno to Prague? I have an aunt who lives there and I'm paying her a surprise visit once I get to Brno. ------------------ With great power comes great responsibilities..
It take two and a half hours by bus and a bit longer by train. Have a look in the Travel Tips and Advice forum and you'll find a link there somewhere to IDOS, the site that gives all the Czech bus and train timetables.
Hey Mark, I just left Brno just this morning after a 9 week stay. During this time I meet an American ( Sean ) who works for IMB and is now living in Brno for 2 years now. Nice guy. If you want to go the Praha I woud suggest taking the bus. Student Agency.... you need to check it out. It's at the square near Alberts in Brno. The train was also a great experience and I would do it again. Andy
Ahoj everyone! Thanks so much for the warm welcome even though I actually haven't arrived in Brno. I hope to be there early January '09. Thanks again!
