Well I'd like to say I'm new here and we are travelling Europe for 2 weeks and since Czeh Rep. is one of our stops would like some information about travel to Prague. We will be arriving in Prague sometime in Dec 30,2004 and staying there for five days and will be enjoying the New Years festivities. What bar or club would be the best place to to celerbrate New Years? and do we to get there early to reserve a spot? How are the clubs during the regular week? We will be staying in the Best Prague, hopefully this hotel will be close enough to the night life. We are from the United States and with what the world is today what is the attitude towards Americans? We are looking foward to just having a great time drinking the beer, food, partying and meeting some cool people and especially the beautifulladies. From all what I've heard about Prague we are hope for an unforgettable time.

    Hi

I was in Prague for New Year last year with my Czech girlfriend. I have to say we booked in November for a restaurant as that was when they started taking bookings. The meal was expensive but really good.

We saw the New Year in on Wenceslass Square and it was absolute mahem! I have never seen a spectacle like it, about 3000 people letting off fireworks and swigging Chanpagne until the small hours. That sounds bad but it was the best fun I've ever had on a New Year. Whilst it was absolutley crazy, there was no trouble and even my elderly parents who were with us had a blast.

Go for it you will have a fantastic time!

    Hi

I also am going to be in Prague this New year.
My friend and I are from Scotland so you may see us about in our kilts.
I was thinking about going to the Karlovy Lane as there are five different clubs within the same venue so I'm sure we'll find some music to our tastes.
I have the same questions though.
Do you have to book tickets in advance?
Where is the best place to celebrate the New Year?

    Food Tips:
We enjoyed La Fabrique (also a nightclub) and La Province (below the banana bar)

Hope to see you there and if you see us come up and say hello

    Cheers

    Kram

I'll be there too, with my other half. New Year in Prague will be a first for me, although I've been there many times before.
