samolepky- they are stickers you put over your English keyboard denoting the Czech characters. No need to get a czech keyboard then.. cost about 30 kc in Prague
Are there CZE/US double layout keyboards available? We have EST/RUS and EST/US where the Estonian layout is usually printed black and the other one red on the buttons. Very comfortable when you need to use two different layouts and switch frequently. The Czech keyboard is actually quite easy to use even if you don't have the physical layout - you just have to get used to the order of symbols in the upper row (ě,š,č,ř,ž,ý,á,í,é) and remember that z and y have changed places (compared to the US or British layout)
Yes, there are. There are three czech layouts: 1) qwertz (standard, y/z reversed), 2) qwerty (y and z just like on US) 3) czech programmers (this layout is exactly the same as on US keyboards, except that you get ěščřžýáíé instead of numbers (use keypad for numbers)) Personally, I use standard US layout and US-only keyboard. basic areall keybord the same. only the stickers on the keybord are chanced. so if you go to the windows control pannel click on country settings and you can put set there the keybord lang.
Yes, u can install any number of languages, but you must have the stickers to know where the letters for that particular langauge are... or I guess you could memorize it ...:}
The basic layout is nearly the same in Czech and English, except for Y/Z. And the ěščř.... letters can be written on the keyboard, below the function keys (or make a sticker and put it there).
