I'm looking for the best and easist way to get from Prague to Valtice. I've heard a bus is the fastest and most comfortable over the train. Is this true? Advise on cost, where to buy tickets, bus station location? Is it convenient for centrally located hotels. All answers appreciated.
The quickest and the most comfortable way how to get to Valtice is by train via Breclav. From Prague to Breclav you have about 7 Eurocity express trains during a day. The price of single way ticket is about 430 CZK (aprox. 16 Euro). The way Prague - Valtice by train takes about 3 h 30-45 min. Timetables are at : http://jizdnirady.atlas.cz/ConnForm.asp?tt=a&cl=E5 By bus it's a bit cheaper. But it takes longer and at least 2 changes.
