Hope this is in the right forum..

I'm taking my daughter and her boyfriend for their first trip to Prague this Christmas and wonder if there will be anywhere open to eat as we are staying in an apartment. We'd prefer traditional Czech cooking if possible but this is not mandatory. I don't mind booking sooner rather than later..

    Any ideas ?

    Dekuji !

You will find many restaurants and hotels in Prague.
The very special date (or evening) is the Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th). On this evening most people prefer to stay at home with their families. Some restaurants or hotels serve special menu this day (usually traditional one with karp etc.). The menu price may be somewhere between 1000 do 5000 CZk and usually you have to book in advance.

Ah, thank you for that - I had heard that the 24th is the special day. I am going back to Praha in October so I think it may be a good idea to find a restaurant then. Otherwise I guess it'll be straight off the plane and into the nearest Alberts :D
