Ahoj. Now I am translating the football article. But I don't know well in some parts. I put underline there. I know I am not good at English. But I wish that someone help me. Dekuji. the text Je tu hodně nových tváří. (my translation) Did you ask Pavel, whether he doesn't know anything about Kalouda ? "S Pavlem určitě mluvili. On má s vedením velký kontakt, ale sami věděli, o koho jde. Má před sebou budoucnost." (my translation) We surely talked with Pavel. He has with a manegement substantive contact, but they know themselvs, about who goes. Future is infront of him.
..., ale sami věděli, o koho jde. Má před sebou budoucnost. ...but they knew, who he is. (Big) future awaits him.
Perhaps more standard English: Did they ask Pavel if he knows anything about Kalouda? They certainly talked with Pavel. He has a substantial management contract but, they know who he is. He has a great (bright) future ahead of him. or you might also say: Did they ask Pavel if he knows anything or not about Kalouda? ...He has a substantial contract with management... not sure what the exact intention is in Czech
Didn't you misread eso's/Meda's translation - 'contact' vs 'contract' by chance? If I can say so, the original Czech used is pretty clumsy anyway. I mean "mít s vedením velký kontakt"
ah, yes I did misread - sometimes I'm such a dummy  ...He has substantial contact with management... or ...He has a lot of contact with management...
