Ciao a tutti! When I first registered, I was quite ashamed of asking questions concerning the Czech language. Now I sort of got into it! I wonder whether someone could illuminate me on these two Czech expressions: -"On je spokojeny jako blecha v psim kozichu" I know it means to be satisfied, but what does the expression mean if translated literally? -Obcas se stava, ze narazis na podvodniky I don't have the least idea of the meaning of this sentence!!! He is as satisfied as a flea in dog's coat (fur). This is not idiomatic - it just means "It sometimes happens, that you encounter cheaters (swindlers).
