I thought that you lived in some isolated hamlet! There must be hundreds of Czechs in Edmonton. Just check the phone book, call half a dozen Czech names and ask where Czechs meet. You should get some leads after a few calls. Teachers, especially those who teach English as a second language, may also know Czechs. I live in Calgary, but to be honest, I no longer visit Edmonton because I don't know anybody there and the city itself has nothing special to offer that I have not already seen. If you plan to visit Calgary, let me know by private message. You are welcome for a cup of coffee!
hi, Eva and Betts. thanks for responding. Eva, I know Calgary quite well, and have even lived there for a while, and still come "so close" when I am on the way to the mountains for skiing. Maybe I'll email you out of the blue one of these days asking for that coffee.. Betts, where in BC do you live?
