As you may know, Slovenia and Slovakia get confued all the time, but now German magazine Stern has managed to confuse Slovenia with the Czech Republic. You can read about it on the Slovenian blog Carniola.org (which, as you can see, has a special section for mix-ups involving Slovenia and other countries, usually Slovakia -- worth checking out for a good laugh): http://www.carniola.org/theglory/the_et ... index.html BTW, if you are interested in Slovenia (the homeland of Joze Plecnik) or have any questions about it, I just started a thread about the little country in the Central Europe section of this site (including photos): http://www.myczechrepublic.com/boards/v ... php?t=2842

It happened again! This time the pan-European sports network Eurosport aired a map that placed the Slovenian ski resort of Kranjska Gora in the Czech Republic! You can see it here: http://www.carniola.org/theglory/2006/01/eurosport_hits.htm
