Hi All! I have a big ask. I live in Seattle. One of my friends that I dearly care about is Czech. She grew up in Czechoslovakia and immigrated here at a young age. I know she is sad about not being able to visit family this year. I really wanted to get her something for Christmas that may remind her of home. I am looking for any and all suggestions for different treats, foods, items, etc that I could buy online to give her as a gift. I first started searching the web for different treats, but thought it would be best to ask the experts (you!) I really appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thank you for your time!!
Hello! Thank you for turning to us with your question. I've spent some time researching and it's actually not easy to come up with good suggestions. It's not that I don't know what typically Czech treats and food items to recommend (there are many!), but I don't know how you can find them in Seattle or even online in the U.S. One place I found is this: https://www.slovczechvar.com/?lang=en. They're in New York and have an e-shop. Another thing you can try is search for "Czech" or "Czech Republic" on https://www.etsy.com. There are some gift items like posters, paintings, mugs or t-shirts with Czech themes. I hope you find something!
