    Hello everyone

At the end of this month I'm moving to Prague to study at Charles University for an academic year. I'll be studying on exchange from the University of Glasgow in central Scotland. I'm travelling alone and won't know anyone when I get there.

This is really just an email to say hello and to ask for any advice you think would assist me in my travels. I know very little about the Czech Republic and Prague (which is my main reason for selecting it as a destination), I also don't speak any Czech whatsoever. My lessons will be in English so the only barriers will be socially but I hope to learn as much of the language as possible.

I'd be grateful if you could tell me anything you think I should know. I'm looking forward to it very much.

    kind regards

I doubt you'll still be there for New Years will you?

My friend and I are also Scottish (Aberdeen) and are going to Prague (in our kilts) for New Year.

Can you recommend which clubs to go to and if we will need to get tickets in advance?

Thanks by the way ;o)
