Thanks wer, now #1 makes sense to me. I still think, in the back of my head, that they should have said something like "The book guides the reader to a new viewpoint of Czech history (to see Czeh history from a vnew viewpoint - the dog's viewpoint" :idea:
I think České dějiny is the shortened title of the book. Otherwise the meaning is absurd, too. The book "České dějiny očima psa" guides (us) to a new viewpoint (of Czech history). I think it is the most absurd interpretation.
