Can anyone tell me anything about homosexuality in the Czech Republic?

Umm....I'm not gay but I do know that it is legal in Czech Republic. Locals (particularly outside major cities) are not that accustomed to it, so public displays of affection may not be looked nice upon.

Recently, the parliament denied a "registered partnership" law one more time. But this time it was close - one vote difference.

So it's looked down upon? Is it very common?

Most people don't care if you like them skinny, fat or same sex, I assume it is your choice.

I just don't understant what is your concern and what are you planning to do there. Wear label GAY?

There are gay bars and clubs in Cs. you just have to search on internet for them.

It is very common for two women walk on the street with their arms hooked up. This doesn't indocate that they are gay, just friends who are talking and don't want to be divided by people walking on same sidewalk. In Praha people walk a lot so there is more people on the sidewalks than in USA or Canada.

Two women also kiss on cheek or two when they meet, but I wouldn't recommend necking.

Hope you and your friends have a good time.

You will have a great time and if there is anything I can help you with, post privately. I spent 10 months in Prague last year and have to go again this year ....don't know when yet.

    Good night for now,

In the UK, soon there will be more people walking on the roads , due to the amount of cyclists using the pavements..... :x

Calculations, forget the hang-ups of the Anglo-Saxon world. The Czech Republic is Continental Europe, the heart of the West, the cradle of freedom. There are no raving pastors ranting against gays in Europe. If you are decent, clean, honest and polite, I just don't see what discrimination you could face as a homosexual. :)
