May I ask for a translation meaning something like this

How is it going/what's up/que pasa

addressing a friend that I love whose name is Ladislav. We call him Ladi, what's the best diminutive ... he is a bit in trouble and the greeting has to be informal, indicating that he is really loved.

Here is what I would write in English:
    How is it going Ladi
Let me know if there is anything I can do.
    I am there/here for you,
    Use me !

Thank you vary much in adv !

"Láďa", "Ládíček" but if you allready use nick "Ladi" then maybe it is better to keep it.

The propper translation depends on how much you are informed troubles.

    Ahoj Láďo (Ladi),

    jak se daří.
Jestli pro tebe mohu něco udělat, tak mi dej určitě vědět.
    Kdykoliv jsem tu pro Tebe!

    ---------
Worry "Use me" - has in english sexual overtones

"Jestli pro tebe mohu něco udělat" or "Jestli ti mohu nějak pomoci" ("if I can somewhat help you)

True, it can have such overtones, but usually there has to be context to suggest that. I seriously doubt anyone would get that idea from danishgirl's context above.

Sure. Maybe except Mr. Freud.

I was just pointing to the fact that it is tricky phrase and was not courageous enough to translate it. Karel Lerak changed it slightly before translation and so his translation is great.
