Is it better to exchange U.S. currency to Czech currency in the U.S. (my origination point) or wait until I reach the Czech. People have advised me to do both and I'm just not sure. This may be a silly question, so please forgive me if it is. Thanks.

    Hi, Bret -
This is what I used to do - wait until you are over in the Czech Rep to exchange, but exchange a little money ($20-30) here in the US so you have some cash on you when you arrive so you don't have to scramble to get money for food, etc. This was a couple of years ago, so I don't know if this practice is the best way to go now.. :)

    Leah,
Thanks. That was what some of the guys going with me are planning on doing. They are going to exchange about 1/3 of the money they are taking before we leave the US. That sounds like the most reasonable thing to do at the moment based on what you said. Thanks for your help.
