Hi, Im moving to Prague in March from the US, hopefully to get involved in film and possibly going to a film school in September. I was wondering how hard it will be to get a job just to support myself while im there. I will probably only be there for 6 months unless I decide to go to the film school. I dont have any TEFL training and dont have a work visa. Thanks for your help.

Can you tend bar or wait tables?

Given the circumstances you’ve described, restaurant/pub work is the only plausible option. Fortunately, for you, in the Center, there is plenty of work. And Czech (language) is not at all required. Check into a hostel (if you don’t already have an apt set up), then start networking the expat/tourist pubs/restaurants in the Center. Staff comes and goes all the time. They’re always looking for people. And, . . . you don’t have to be legal!
