Hey. I was just wondering whether anyone could give me a few phrases on how to say 'shut up' or something of the sort in czech. Any help or referals to other sites would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 8)

There are many ways to tell "shut up", depending on how much rude you wish to be :)

    Buď zticha.
    Sklapni.
    Drž zobák.
    Drž hubu. (very rude)

P.S. I have changed the title of your post - you know, "help" is not very descriptive

Which one would you use if you don't want to be rude, you just don't want someone to talk about it right then. For instance, should someone be talking about something in front of my kids and I don't want the kids to hear it. I could say "děti jsou tady, (so hush or be quiet)". Which word(s) would I put in there.
