i remember a picture that was showed in our school-history-book in the chapter about the "prager frühling" of 1968: a man standing in front of a tank, holding his shirt open and presenting his chest to the thank's muzzle, his face showing anger and despair - this picture impressed me, does anyone knows more about it? by the way (this isn't czech-related), in the same book was showed the famous picture of the student who hold up a line of tanks on the day of the tiananmen-massacre. does anyone knows what happened to this student afterwards?!
Is this the picture you mean? (It's about 1/3 of the way down the page.) http://www.eurosavant.com/comments.php?id=P342_0_1_0
yes, sova, this is it, just that the one in the schoolbook showed a smaller detail, like this one: http://www.kssursee.ch/schuelerweb/kalt ... g/prag.htm hm... is always thought, this picture had been taken in prague! the other picture i found here: http://www.spiegel.de/fotostrecke/0,553 ... _3,00.html
the text answers my question, it is said that the chinese student had been pulled away by passangers before the tanks reached him... i just don't see any passangers near to the tanks on this picture...
