Hello Everybody, My name's Peter and I' m new here I've joined the system to try and find out a little more about Czech culture and the way of life. I have a Czech friend who's working in the same town as me and she told me that she's very proud to be Czech - as a Briton that's an admirable sentiment but not one that you hear said honestly here in the UK. More power to you for that ! I'm starting to learn the Czech language using the inevitable "teach yourself" book helped by a Berlitz guide on my Palm PDA. Hopefully I'll get chance to visit the Czech Republic next year and be able to get around. Having had a chance to browse the system this afternoon I think it's going to be an invaluable source of reference and I hope I'll get the chance to talk with many of you in the near future ! In particular I'm keen not to make the kind of faux pas that I made earlier on this week, so I may have to ask you to help me out from time to time :wink: All the best, and happy to be here ! Peter
