:D Hello, I’m Arie and I want to introduce myself. I live in The Netherlands and my working life was occupied within the Royal Dutch Navy as a professional communication specialist, in particular breaking codes and so. After that I worked as a Royal Shell Oil Company employee, also as a communication specialist. My last job was my favourite: professional teacher in typewriting for blind and low vision children!

Now I’m retired and play the computer, fix and rebuilt my 1989 old Opel Vectra, my house and I sing as a Pirate in a Shanty chore. That’s fun folks!

As I met a young women during my holydays in Spain, Lloret de Mar, I though she lives in Czech Republic, so I discovered your country surfing the internet, I find out it’s a wonderful world over there! So I love to make contact with your people and try to learn your language. Seems difficult but challenging.

Furthermore, in particular, see my special call in the Message Board Forum “Make a Connection”.

Next time I try to write something in Czech: that’s a promise!

For now: Tot ziens! (See you Later, Alligator)

    Dear Katka,

Thanks for the translation. I'm not able (yet) to reach for a dictionnary so this is very helpful!

You know all about me from the Board, so I'll like to thank you again for your attention. I'll do all efforts to learn Czech, just in case!

    Byby for now,
    Arie...

hey Katka have you tried to speak Czech with the CZ natives? Can you speaking fluently? Do you speaking with Martin by CZ sometimes? :D

I am far from fluent and I never speak Czech with Martin. Everything I've ever tried to say to him in czech, he claims he doesn't understand me. His daughter and brother can understand me though. I think Martin simply lacks an ear for my bad pronounciation. I often try to speak czech to our friends when they come over and they understand me as well. I think Martin just has some lazy ears and refuses focus and listen closly. Oh well, I still love him, the big jerk!

The next time I pm you Ájík, I will pm you in czech and you will see how bad my grammar is. I haven't learned all the declension of cases yet so I pretty much speak everything in pád 1 and pád 4. :?
