Hi everybody, my name is Salem. I'm from Canada and trying to learn Czech. My Grandpa and a good portion of my Dad's side is Czech and I might move to Prague sometime in the next few months, but I'd like to get a head start with the language before I go there. I'm kind of hoping to find a study buddy because I've found that if you have someone to practice with, it works out better. Anyone interested? Anyways, thanks for reading and hope to talk soon!
I'd be delighted to learn you Czech I want to improve my English and it is good way Have you got any Skype Yahoo or ICQ name? I will send You private message.
English is a crazy language . You often have two different verbs for the very same activity depending on roles of subject and object, like teach × learn or borrow × lend. What a waste! No wonder the English is said to be the language with the most extensive vocabulary.
I think it's because we are a bunch of show-offs hahaha. Our vocabulary is a tad ridiculous- most of the time I can think of at least 5 different words to describe the same action/word/feeling/etc. Great tool whilst writing though!!
hmmmmmmmmm the "me learn english better" sounds a bit odd better (my opinion only - i am sure someone will have a better idea): "and I could take advantage of the opportunity to learn English better" or " and it would give me a chance to improve my English" or "I could improve my English" or "it would give me the opportunity to learn more English" learn English better - would, at least to me, imply learn using a better method - but i could be completely wrong
I realy meant ..."and it would give me a chance to improve my English" but I don't know how explain it correct  and that's why I must learn English more and more... I hope it is correct  8)
If you want to learn the basics of Czech, there is a company out of US, in New Hampshire exactly, and they provide free downloads of thier software for learning Czech, I actually upgraded it to the full version it was so good, well this can be found here: http://www.byki.com/fls/free-czech-software-download.html?l=czech Also as I am living in PRG now I found a book collection called Step by Step, however I don't know if it is available in CAN, so here is the web @. http://czechstepbystep.cz/ PS Nova Scotia & PEI once a year used to be the vacation of a lifetime. caiu
