My last name is Sobeslavsky. My dad told me that there is a town named Sobeslav. Also, my great Uncle told me that there were princes with the name Sobeslav. Is this true? If anyone has any information, I would really like to hear it.

Yes, that all is truth. "Soběslav" is Czech first name (name day - 8/8 ). This name was very usual in Přemyslid dynasty (see latinized form Sobieslaus). And in Southern Bohemia, there's one town called Soběslav (official site, map). The name "Soběslavský" is adjective (male form) derived from this town name.

Female form of name "Soběslav" created in usual way is "Soběslava" but I never heard such female name. Female form of adjective "Soběslavský" is "Soběslavská".
