Could anyone advise the best way to get to the train station in Prague. We are staying in Prague for four days and then traveling to Budapest on the overnight train.

Has anyone made a similar trip? Any tips about the train ride?

    Appreciate your help!

    Hi,
Not so common but I thought I would mention it.... Sometimes train conductors/ticket collectors on Czech trains have been known to lie stating that there is a problem with you ticket (only to foreigners), or they may also take your ticket, claiming to return it later (in which case they do NOT). They will do this simply to get money off you.
It is on the rare occasion that this will happen. However, should it occur I suggest you just ask to be taken to the ticket office for an explanation - this should make them go away.
    Hope this helps,
    Jason

Evian, thank you for the tip! Hopefully, this won't happen. We bought the tickets over the internet... hopefully they look similar to the ones you buy in the box office at a train station.
